In a week’s time, on 16 September, Venus’ methodical advance in Virgo sufficiently ticks off enough arc minutes to square Mars in Gemini perfectly. So perfect is this square with other astrological and astronomical factors, it can only be described as a “Super” square.
First, Venus square Mars in any astrological articulation of signs says, “I want what I want and that’s all there is to it. I don’t care if I need it or not. I want it. If you can’t give me what I want, get the hell out of my way.” A Venus-Mars square is hot. It’s passionate. It taunts and evokes. Ultimately the tease of the transit demands fervent action... on the part of the person with the burning desire.
Concurrent with this particular square, Venus in Virgo trines the North Lunar Node in Taurus. Mars stands next door to Venus, semi-sextile from Gemini. The nodal question posed is: “Will obtaining your heart’s desire fulfill your greatest soulful aspiration?” If yes, proceed. If no or not so sure, ponder the idea that actions taken “just because they’re there,” may provide pleasantries that serve more as distractions than life-fortifying events. If that’s cool with you, have a ball. If not, reset the focus and narrow your soul’s intent like a laser tuning a beam to but a picometer wide.
Venus in Virgo opposes Nessus in Pisces, while Mars squares Nessus as he traverses Gemini. To put a bottom line on the particularly difficult mythology of Nessus, the matter of bad blood prevails. Bad blood can be literal; it can be emotional; it can be spiritual. On his highest road, Nessus seeks to remove any perceived life obstacle that stands in the way of fulfillment such that ones sensibilities boil over when frustrated by circumstances in life that do not foster the soul. Here, it’s important to align with your best personal sensibilities of what provides gratification, and more, that gratification chosen does not come with attached costs. For instance, if one were to win the lottery, would the winnings toxify ones life? There are sufficient online tales claiming this to be true. Nessus occupies Pisces. Is this really true? Do you believe it? Do you believe that with your position in the bell curve of humans whose consciousness congregates like schooling fish, you can stand alone in your contentment? That you may enjoy all that fills you with bliss... is it okay to do that?
Hugely, Mars in Gemini opposes the grand Great Attractor’s position in Sagittarius. Venus squares the Great Attractor from Virgo. The Great Attractor is a massive gravitationally guiding, capturing and devouring entity out there way beyond our galactic cluster. Despite its distance, the potency of this object’s grab is so intense and severe, everything within our galactic clustering in space involuntarily drifts toward it.
There are a few physical facts abut the Great Attractor that can be flawlessly extrapolated to the realm of human interactions:
The Great Attractor emanates in all known frequencies. Nothing is excluded. No known emanation is shunned. No consideration, person or place is to be denied or overlooked.
The Great Attractor’s gravity is so immense it bends light such that what is behind its massiveness can be clearly seen and observed. Nothing can be hidden behind ones back. Better, still, this affords a clear look at what is immediately around the next bend or over the next horizon. Psychic instinct prevails in the moment and sorts through the circumstances at hand. Read the queues now and avoid the “hindsight is 20/20" phenomenon.
The Great Attractor virtually occupies the middle of Sagittarius. There is the knowing that whenever activated, knowledge is everywhere. Anyone with strong connections to the GA is assumed by those in their orbit to have access to all information that current circumstances demand. If connected, expect to be shoved to the center of the circle.
The Great Attractor personifies truth at is best. Not the truth one believes, or how one wants it to be... the absolute, bottom line, galactic world truth. There is no time nor tolerance for conjured falsehoods and those who promulgate same... whether human or algorithmic.
Bottom line, in this upcoming square, a clear picture of what you want and non invasive, non confrontational steps to get it are waiting for you to snap a selfie with it. Mars dares you to post on your social media that you are blessed/cursed by the gumption to direct all your creative passion and intelligence into extracting from life what you want to get from this incarnation as demonstrated by your intent during this very aspect.
By the way, Venus and Orcus are aligned in Virgo.
Astronomer Mike Brown, who more or less single-handedly demoted Pluto from the planet club (as viewed by astronomers), refers to Orcus as the “other Pluto.” The orbital elements of Pluto and Orcus are very similar and as such, they pretty much maintain the same not exactly an aspect angular relationship with one another. Orcus is the Etruscan version of Pluto. An underworld lord, he did not take kindly to those who break their word or failed to uphold their oath. From the personal to political, Orcus dispensed harsh awards for those who failed to keep promises.
With Venus and Orcus together in Virgo this is fine-lined, letter-of-the-law stuff. What if a person does not fulfill what they promise they will do? Perhaps even closer to the bone, what if a person breaks the vow to self in terms of the perfect pursuit of whatever their heart desires? With Venus in Virgo one can justify that one should not enjoy the fruits of ones efforts or pleasures in life. But then there’s Orcus to call horse-pucky on that... and to remind Venus to engage in the square to Mars and for fig’s sake get out there and get it and savor the fruits of all labors.
A square supercharged by a centaur, a Kuiper Belt Object who rivals Pluto, and one of the most wowsome galactic entities currently known is at hand. It’s truly time to set aside any rationalizations or justifications that muddy the perceptions of the psyche for not engaging the good stuff and to commence with the getting on of getting it good. On your mark. Get set. Go! And take the first stride from the starting block for Venus’ sake if not your own!
